Welcome!

Sara & Fidele 2012

WELCOME!

My name is Sara, and I will be the historian of this family. Please, enjoy reading our love story and seeing how God has beautifully written each new page of our lives together thus far!

Here is a little bit about Fidele and I to begin.

2012

I was born and raised in Edgewood, New Mexico, where I enjoyed being home schooled; living out in the country with chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, dogs, and cats; grew up having lots of fun with one older brother, two younger brothers, and three younger sisters; and was truly blessed to be raised by parents who love the Lord deeply. I love Jesus so much as well, and each new day I am always more and more amazed by His faithfulness to me.

After I graduated high school, I attended college for a year, but then decided to join the Coast Guard like my dad. I am going on my fourth and final year in the Coast Guard (only 2 more months to go!!). I am stationed way up in the eastern most city of the United States---Eastport, Maine. Some of the things I am doing here to stay busy for the next two months include: talking to my Fidele on Skype whenever we are able, taking walks around town, experimenting with new recipes, baking yummy things to take to work or the post office, reading good books, attempting to learn French, reading good blogs, and blogging myself.

November 2013

Fidele was born and raised in Cameroon, Africa. His dad was an army medic, which allowed Fidele to travel around and see different parts of Cameroon. Fidele is the oldest of eight children, and is the sweetest older brother ever! The Lord saved Fidele when he was thirteen years old, and then used Fidele to preach the Gospel to his family. We praise the Lord that Fidele's family loves the Lord! Fidele met my dad while he was attending a university in Cameroon. My dad was on a short-term mission trip to Cameroon, and met Fidele at church. Fidele stayed in contact with my family, and hence I also became acquainted with him too. Since then Fidele and I have been emailing and growing in our friendship.

My family moved to Cameroon in September of 2011. Fidele has faithfully helped and worked alongside them throughout their adventure on the mission field.

Fidele loves listening to Christian worship music, reading and studying, taking long walks (especially with me), playing with my little brother (especially playing war), doing evangelism outreaches, and skyping late into the night with me. He is definitely a man who enjoys adventure and is ready to take on whatever new adventures God brings into our lives in the years to come.

For now Fidele and I are enjoying this new chapter in our lives as a married couple. We pray that the Lord will be the center of our lives and our goal is to live holy and wholly unto Him. So please enjoy the adventures, lessons, difficulties, struggles, joys, and happenings of our lives as we live to make much of Jesus every day that we live.

I'd love to hear from you, so please feel free to leave a comment or email me at 1517.solagratia@gmail.com
